based on tweet i just saw: the NYT bestseller list doesn’t really reflect, you know, actual bestsellers (unless forced). so that trump jr thing is just fake news, made worse by mass sales.

this week’s #crumpled runner is brought to you by wind, as in the wind i fought for what felt like eight miles. legs felt like they were pushed to the limit, and no way were they running up that last hill. fair… instagram.com/p/B5d4NgAh3QF/…

and the winner of today’s actual laugh-out-loud moment: RT Lucian Kim: Arrived at Kyiv’s Zhuliany Airport. When I told my wife, she said: “What, there’s an airport named after Giuliani now?”

dear brands: i appreciate that you let me know it was cyber monday. for those of you who went out of your way to send me at least five emails, well, i opened about zero of them. i don’t trust that this is my last chance, nor do i trust i’m getting the best possible deal.

Kassia Krozser (@booksquare) 's Twitter Profile Photo

seriously, brands, i get it. you want to make as much money as possible, but maybe (just maybe) the constant pestering — that started well before black friday — is having the opposite effect? just a thought.

this is a great story RT NPR: Author Adam Minter estimates that the average thrift store in the U.S. is only able to sell about one third of what's donated. In his new book, "Secondhand," he set out to find out what happens to the other two-thirds. n.pr/2OSCTIB

things bothering: a) The Washington Post (i’m a subscriber) failing to mention number of years it took elizabeth warren to earn her money, and b) fact that taxpayer money may be used to, seriously, study toilet flushes because the president lives in the 1980s.

Kassia Krozser (@booksquare) 's Twitter Profile Photo

the first is because of the lack of serious reporting on how other candidates earn their money; the latter because a man who doesn’t understand the modern world believes we should go back in time.

have lived with energy- and water-efficient items for decades. promise you LED lightbulbs don’t turn you orange, and more than pay for themselves (have had one light on continuously for over ten years, cost $15, previously replaced bulb twice a year).

Kassia Krozser (@booksquare) 's Twitter Profile Photo

and in an indulgence from my friends who attended a party at my house last night, flushes were limited to one time, per bathroom visit. efficiency in business is touted as a virtue; shouldn’t it be a virtue in households as well?

going on record: not opposed to the concept of space force, but also wondering why we can’t also forgive deceptive student loans and offer some sort of medicare-for-all as well. maybe cut down on golf trips???

i favorited a tweet from Dan Rather earlier today, and am still thinking about this: the average american is as likely to be urban and not-white as they are rural and white. real america isn’t mayberry.

and then, there’s this. RT NPR: It would be easy to overlook this dark blob of ancient chewing gum….[ellipses mine] And the recovered DNA tells us a lot about one woman who lived about 5,700 years ago. n.pr/2YWXnmC
