In #Cyprus, despite difficult circumstances our brave CABS team has been busy in the field. Over the last 5 weeks of our autumn bird protection camp - 22 poachers convicted, >800 traps confiscated and >450 birds rescued & released! 💥 Camp runs until late November.

More than 200 #limesticks seized from a single site in Aradippou, Cyprus. This clips shows how lethal these glue traps are to any passing birds or other wildlife that comes into contact with them …

Some of the illegal trapping sites with most-nets we find in #Cyprus are huge. These installations are run by criminal gangs & can catch thousands of migratory songbirds each night during peak migration. This is just one of many (26) we’ve shut down so far this autumn.
