Dark Crimson Underwing in my trap this morning, though I didn't realise what it was until I took a 2nd look at the photo this evening. Phew, I nearly missed it!

I'm not a spider fan, especially in the house - fortunately this one was dead! Is it a Giant house spider - Eratigena atrica - with legs folded up?

Is this Trombidium holosericeum? About 4mm. I just disturbed a couple in the garden and I don't think I have noticed them before

Last week my Lower Hellesdon moth trap contained my first "First for Norfolk" moth - identified by Dave Jones and now confirmed by @gobirdingEU as Apomylelois ceratoniae - Locust Bean Moth. #moths

A hot night to run a trap in France. No time (or patience in the heat) to ID them all but tried a few with additional remote help from @gobirdingEU - my first Striped & Oak Hawk-moths, Spotted Sulphur and Euchromius ocellea.

A new moth for the garden this morning - the lovely Fern, found hidden on the wall behind the trap several hours after I thought I had finished
