Today Avon fire and rescue service were stretch to the limit . Radstock were called to a total of six incidents five a which were down to the storm. Control staff played a blinder dealing with so many calls in such a short time. #OneTeam #TeamAvon . Stay safe.

Today crews from @AFRSChew @AFRSWinscombe Paulton Fire Station @AFRSRadstock Patchway Fire Station Frank Romeo,Wells fire stations @AFRSHicksGate and the fabulous SM Miles attended a cross boarder exercise at the local concrete works simulated hazmat incident. Fantastic effort from all involved.

While the exercise was going on Avon Fire & Rescue Service Training are working hard at Hicks gate delivering and assessing students on the two yearly BA requalifier .Ensure all individuals are competent and safe wearing breathing apparatus. 1337-team@TeamAvon. The best job I’ve ever had.

This week saw the Training team put potential new recruits through their paces. We saw over 100 people this week taking part in the NFS test. Interviews next for the successful candidates with Only 24 places for the next training school.
