In 2017, NothingFest began with the idea of exploring “Nothing.” By practicing “nothing,” participants were encouraged to observe, imagine, and rediscover the creative potential hidden in stillness and simplicity.

RSpace is set to launch its “Distinguished Speaker Series” with renowned artist and Dean SVAD, Rashid Rana, moderated by Rabeya Jalil. Through the lens of his multifaceted creative practice, Rashid Rana will speak about the boundlessness of art and its limitations.

Nothingfest 2018 | Without In 2018, NothingFest explored the theme “Without.” Participants were invited to imagine the absence of something in order to understand its presence.

Nothingfest 2019 | Blank A blank canvas, a blank word, a blank space, each carried its own anxiety and promise, urging us to slow down and see anew. “Blank” became both a pause and a beginning.

Nothingfest 2023 | Zero In 2023, Nothingfest embraced “Zero / صفر,” a paradox of nothingness and infinite possibility.

Lahore Digital Arts Festival invited Prof. Rashid Rana, Dean MDSVAD, at Alliance Française to deliver the keynote for this year’s theme ‘Breathing Algorithms’.

Assoc. Prof. Rohma Khan and MOC Maleeha Bukhari represented BNU-SVAD at the UNESCO Chairholders’ coordination meeting hosted at MNS University of Agriculture, Multan, in collaboration with UNESCO Pakistan.
