I saw BLUE VELVET for the first time as part of a ~masterful~ gothic lit class at UCSC. Blew my mind, of course. I later transferred to UCLA, where lit curriculum was snoozy to say the least. Proud of my degree and opportunities, but this is hypocritical, sad...and unsurprising.
