🦜 Rhode Island Parrot Rescue calls for help! The only food processor is broken, with no funds to buy a new one. If you can, please consider making a donation. RIPR is home to many wonderful birds, and it takes a lot to keep everyone fed and cared for🦜 gofundme.com/f/new-food-pro…

Today, juvenile Atlantic Whitefish were released by DFO tech Andrew Breen. These fish moved from Dalhousie's Aquatron, to streamside acclimation tanks, then a soft-release lake enclosure, prior to full release today. #AtlanticWhitefish #endangeredspecies @DFO_Science DFO Maritimes

Nova Scotia's flag, though in use for a century, was only established in law in 2013? Not that anyone knew beforehand that the flag wasn't official. Everyone, including gov'ts, certainly thought it was official. An 11 yo proved otherwise /1 #NovaScotia #History #twitterstorians

Endangered 1+ Atl. Whitefish will be released into the Petite Rivière watershed Nova Scotia, the only place on earth they exist in the wild, over the next few weeks. Thanks to conservation partner Dalhousie University ‘s Aquatron lab for spawning/rearing these fish to make this possible.
