He throws his arm over Casey‘s shoulder without even knowing what‘s going on yet. It seems like an instinctual move. "Hey, buddy. What's up?"

"Oh … 𝘖𝘩." His face pinches in both worry and awkwardness, stomach churning with dread of talking about feelings, especially about what happened … then. He pulls Casey closer regardless. "I‘m sorry. I know it‘s hard, and I wish i could do more for you."

The look on Casey‘s face wrenches his heart. Finger tapping against the sofa, his mind races trying to find words that would help Casey. "Well .. We‘re all here for you. Even heartless jerk Donnie. Don‘t forget that." His tone is light, accompanied by a ruffle of Casey‘s hair.

For Casey‘s sake, and bc he himself doesn‘t like having it called out, he keeps quiet about the other‘s tears. Instead he smiles softly and leans his head against Casey‘s. "Anytime. You‘re part of this family now, and we all take care of each other." A laugh. "Even Donnie.“

He laughs, lighthearted and loud. Then, a smirk tugs at his lips as he stares at Casey and he lets the seriousness of the situation bleed away, making way for banter and jokes. "Awww, Casey!" His tone has gone high and he rubs his cheek against the other‘s. "You‘re so sweet!"

Leo tried his best to ignore the feelings gnawing away at him, guilt and pity mixing sourly in his gut. Pity for Casey’s situation, guilt for … well, everything. He laughs just a little louder and starts to kiss Casey‘s cheeks in a playful manner.

There definitely no tears in Leo‘s eyes. Nope. None, nada. His tears are only reserved for Jupiter Jim movie climaxes and cute car commercials. Not .. this. He sinks a little more into the couch, laughing softly. "Thanks, Casey. I .. appreciate it."

"Yeah.“ It comes out a little chocked, but Leo is smiling, a glint of relief and love in his eyes. He returns the squeeze, and the two are pressed against each other as close as possible. "Yeah Case, you‘re right. As long as we‘re together."

Leo laughs again, and then returns Casey‘s tight hug. He‘s warm. It seeps past his clothes and warms the cold-blooded terrapin. He gives a small happy chirrup.

"The microwave sounds like it‘s about to explode but it‘s a sacrifice i‘ll have to make … for the pizza burritos!"
