I'm a political nerd, age 9, my 1997 poll of my school playground was probably the only Tory landslide in the UK. Sure that would be the case now. One of my best friends gave me the VHS of this a year later for my birthday, and I've loved it ever since... youtube.com/watch?v=9K9h2X…

I rarely write anything political, yet I feel it's time; FFS both manifestos from the major parties are badly written. Do these parties have accomplished copywriters?

Another piece of crap, no dialogue development going up in Wimbledon. It seems the council will stop at nothing in their drive to build up SW19 alongside its scandalous support for the tarmacing of 1/2 Wimbledon Park in the interest of a few more practice courts

New cigar shop has opened in Chiswick and they’re selling one of my favourites, the NUB Cameroon. A lovely smoke and one which I’m about to enjoy under today’s Tupperware sky.

Fantastic dinner last night at 101 Thai in Ravenscourt Park. Easily one of London’s best Thai restaurants, the laab packs a real punch, well worth a detour!

Haven’t been posting for a while but feel compelled. Just returned from 10 days in Ireland on holiday and having some great burgers there, at The Pier in Dunmore East specifically (which has lovely rolls), has made me double down on my opinion: Brioche can f*%# off from burgers.

Tales of two halves last night, started watching ‘One from the heart’… dreadful, badly written, poor acting. Switched off after 30 mins. Then I watched ‘Nighthawks’, a terrific thriller and one of Stallone’s best performances. What a great film, we’ll worth checking out.

More people could get on rush hour trains if blissfully unaware, massive headphone wearing wankshafts would take off their backpacks and place them at their feet 🤬

This is vintage Stuart Millard, up there with the Miss Anglia 1980, We need to talk about Keith and Copy Cats videos. I think it would be right up Ruth Husko, Paul Litchfield @ItsJohnRain and @TNeenan’s streets! Thanks Stu!

The amount of buses now terminating mid route is ludicrous. This has happened to me five times in the past week on 207 and 306 routes. TfL can you explain why this has become so frequent?

Idea - Xmas film, ‘Santa’s Clause’. Dir. Ken Loach, Nigel the elf is a hard-pressed shop steward in St Nick’s workshop. When he loses his hand whilst making a wooden toy, he’s told there’s no compensation as he wasn’t wearing the right PPE. Courtroom battle ensues, a bleak ending

Whilst I think the Lords plays a valuable role, despite needing reform, I think it’s time we got rid of these back-slapping, self-congratulatory official gongs designed to further inflate egos which need no more inflating. amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/d…
