Yesterday was a day of Capitol Hill visits for WAWG leaders to talk about wheat industry priorities, such as trade, farm bill and transportation. They also honored Rep. Kim Schrier, M.D. with the NAWG Outstanding Wheat Advocate Award.

This morning, Secretary Tom Vilsack spoke to wheat growers from NAWG and US Wheat Associates during our board meeting. We are so appreciative of the Secretary's time and all that he is doing for agriculture.

Last night, we hosted Wheat 101, our educational event where Members of Congress and ag leaders are invited to learn about the wheat value chain. We want to thank Chairwoman of the Senate Ag Committee, Sen. Debbie Stabenow and Dept. of Agriculture Dr. Mark Davidson for joining our reception.

Nicole Berg is a 4th generation farmer who works alongside her dad and two brothers on their family farm in Washington State. “As farmers, we try to support and feed anybody in need… whether it’s locally or across the world,” Berg said.
