A reminder on #WorldNoTobaccoDay2022: #Smoking is associated with substantially greater cancer mortality rates than never smoking But #quitting has tremendous health benefits, even at older ages Quitting by age 40 avoids ~90% of excess risk of cont'd smoking (sooner is better)
