Casey C. Have customer who ran Fast-Tracs on 1/2 of planter, & a pair of Curvetines on other 1/2. In good notill conditions this year, Fast-Tracs came up noticably sooner & more even. On other hand, in wet, high clay soil, IH design is impossible to get furrow closed properly. 🤷‍♂️

WB4303 (photos 1 and 2) and Zenda (photos 3 and 4) and their response to standard management for county yield level (photos 1 and 3) or kitchen sink (photos 2 and 4). Huge responses so far this year on KansasWheat intensive management #wheat trial

Our agronomist, Blake, visited Daren J. on his farm near Hays, KS. He is using his YP-1225A to implement a modified relay intercropping system, planting twin-row soybeans between rows of twin-row winter wheat. #GreatPlainsAg #HarvestStartsHere #Planters #FromTheField

You have to work hard in the dark to shine in the light. She's smart with stamina to spare. 39 hour shift ending this morning.

Tholen Ag interseeds a cover crop mix into V4-V6 corn to establish growth prior to the corn's canopy stage. It allows for diverse cover crop mixes and greater growth prior to freezing temperatures. #GreatPlainsAg #HarvestStartsHere #FromTheField #SoilHealth 📹 by Tholen Ag

Kingman KS is 98.1137 longitude. Beloit is 98.1062 longitude. Kingman is west of Beloit by .0075 degrees longitude. Crazy stuff!! Can’t get much closer. KSHSAA playoff formula has the furtherest west team traveling east. Technically we will be traveling north on Friday.

Despite the dry conditions, these central Kansas sunflowers are hanging strong!🌻 This field was wheat harvested in June, then drilled to double-crop sunflowers in July with the BD7600. #Sunflowers #BD7600 #FromTheField

Doug and Derek from Martin Family Farms talk about why they chose the Turbo-Seeder for seeding cover crops. Watch the full testimonial here: youtu.be/KsxpWXqQhc0

Illini FS finished the seeding season ahead of the first snow. Seeded over 2,700 acres. Thanks to Great Plains for providing the drill. A great partner to have. Shout out to Drew Hewitt and Ethan Stumeir. for keeping the wheels on the program. :-)
