No drama school environment should belittle or try to 'break' a performer. No rehearsal should be anything other than a supportive and nourishing environment. Everone should be working together to get the best results. This industry HAS to let go of it's outdated practices.

The arts is mad. I very often feel vilanisied for having professional boundaries. There are too many people out there who still operate like you need to be killing yourself to be successful in the arts and judge you when you’re not. Boundaries are critical.

The theatre industry really is an echo chamber. I’m so sick of it. Much of it (not all of it) is about a play being a hit, it’s the same fucking artists getting opportunities, it’s the same work being shown but in different ways. It’s so ridiculously boring.
