Great to hear from Susie Fraser from Manchester Communication Academy about how their trust talks about ‘mitigating the impact of social disadvantage’ at the Research Schools Network summer conference. A brilliant positive vision of families and the richness of the local community

It’s our favourite time of year, as the Research Schools Network assemble for the annual summer conference. Brilliant to start with insights on disadvantage from natalie perera of Education Policy Institute.

A great Day One of #EducationFest today. Fantastic, thought-provoking sessions from: - Doug Lemov and Brad Busch - James Ellis coaching - Alex Crossman - Dr Haili Hughes FRSA - Peps - Tj Power And lovely to bump into friends from Derby Research School, too!

Day 2 of #EducationFest starts with an update on the curriculum & assessment review from the brilliant Prof Becky Francis: evidence led, seen through a social justice lens, and focusing on evolution, not revolution as much is going well. Main takeaway: the review is in safe hands
