Conservative Cassandra MacDonald is shocked by her 101k+ likes. #tweepcred usually only promotes leftist accounts. In this case, she's supporting the anti-Israel university protests, so she got hooked into the lib algorithm. Her likes are full of pronouns, rainbow flags, blm, etc.
#tweepcred applies a visibility factor that determines the likelihood of your content showing in feeds. Lauren Chen seems to get high engagement, but her follower/engagement ratio is grossly disproportionate compared to the those of the previous accounts.
From small accounts with a few hundred followers to mid-size accounts with a few thousand, #tweepcred gives a massive visibility boost so long as you check the right boxes. You don't see any conservative accounts of similar size gaining this kind of reach.
When was the last time you saw a small conservative account get 97k likes on anything? This lib account here with only 3k followers was easily able to get 97k likes on his post because he's being boosted by the legacy, Dorsey-era #tweepcred algos.
Conservative accounts with 100k+ followers have been calling out the bot problem for ages, but their posts only get a few thousands likes tops. It takes a mid-level lib account with pronouns in bio to trigger #tweepcred and get 90k likes and 3.4m views. Cooked indeed.
Unverified account w/ 366 followers w/ a post that gets 3.2M views and 109K likes because legacy #tweepcred favors the far left checkboxes of pronouns (any), BLM, ACAB, and π³οΈβππ΅πΈ emojis. The $44B car that Elon bought is driving itself on Dorsey-era software.
