A well known Black British creative pondered to me yesterday “How many Black filmmakers have pitched stories about Black people/families only to be dismissed with ‘why now? or what’s the hook?”…We🖤Mike but it’s also very clear who the uk industry allows to tell our stories🤷🏽‍♂️
