Babies on board! Some great horned owl nests are starting to feel a little more crowded. Great horned owls typically lay 1-4 eggs and incubate them for about 30 days. Young remain in the nest for about 42 days before fledging. 📷 courtesy of Gordon Garcia

Ran the Big Sur 21-Miler this morning and my wonderful Davis ecology friends came out to support me (lamprey sign from Megan McDaniels 😭❤️)! Training for this race felt similar to going through my first year of my PhD- hard, fun and filled with learning about myself.
