We’re looking forward to welcoming Barley Cricket Club to the BCG for the first time on Saturday 20 May.

All at Birchanger CC are shocked to hear that village resident Helen Holland has passed away following the accident on 10 May. Our thoughts are with her sons and the whole Holland family.

Good win vs Ashdon Cricket Club for the first team. Well played Jason, Crowey and Chung in particular. Really good atmosphere throughout the game, looking forward to the away game.

Truly shocking, sending our thoughts to everyone who knew Barnaby and the other victims.

A great weekend for the club. 1XI won absolute bum squeaker v Aspenden Cricket. It should have been a cruise but late wickets ensured it wasn’t. Great game, great spirit from ASP. 2XI chased 296 at Ickleton CC and finished with 300/5. Unbelievable #scenes, well done to all.

After some extended debate, the game was called off. Wetter than an otter’s pocket.

2nd XI game is on

The 2nd XI won well at Newport yesterday. Somehow the 1XI’s game was cancelled, in glorious sunshine, on Friday morning.

After last weekend, the 1’s comprehensive win v Newport and 2’s loss in a cracker against Cambridge NCI CC we see the 1’s at home to Rickling Ramblers and the 2’s away to Linton CC. Go well to all and up the green and gold!

We’ve had a double cry off this week. Both first and seconds have a walk over. Second one for the first team already this year.
