First of the two papers that came out as preprints this weekend from our department: collaborative effort of the members of Centre for Palaeogenetics to filter out human sequences when working with ancient DNA samples 🐻🐶🐺🐹🦊🦏🐘.
Second paper of the weekend: BIG4 Project and @AllaInsekter joined forces to confirm that preservation in high ethanol concentrations make insects fragile to work with. Even samples mailed with PostNord Sverige resulted undamaged when preserved in 70 % ethanol 🐜🦋🦟🐞
