Dallas City Council Redistricting is about to finish with a belly flop. Like Texas, record-setting minority growth will not be reflected in an increase in winnable minority districts but continuing with 7 at the most or 50% of the 14 seats in a 72% minority city.

Carter High School Time Capsule installed last week. Carr gets one tomorrow. Students are writing parents letters for Christmas asking for letters back about their dreams for them, with one valued story from family history. Grounded in history & future-focused, students work!

#D9vote2018 Two reasons the TRE did not pass out of the board were the lack of transparency and perceptions minority, high poverty schools were under-funded. Before passing the TRE for a vote, would you support requiring DISD releasing 10 years of 10 spreadsheets exposing data

Bill Betzen (@billbetzen) 's Twitter Profile Photo

#D9vote2018 (cont #2) ... exposing data in an Excell format wherein in can be quickly studied? That means one spreadsheet for each year with one row for each DISD School and 70 or more columns with data for each school.

#D9vote2018 (cont#3)... each school. This data would include identifying info and 20 columns of demographic data. These at least 32 columns of PEIMS Financial data per child. Would you support this level of transparency?
