As you become an adult, you realize that things around you weren't just always there; people made them happen. But only recently have I started to internalize how much tenacity *everything* requires. That hotel, that park, that railway. The world is a museum of passion projects.

One cool thing about SpaceX as a company is: every time they launch they see success or failure. Every time. It’s the same as athletics: each game your work was either good enough for you to win or it wasn’t. This is tough to replicate in most businesses. Which is a bummer.

#1 in-your-control rule of business: make it as easy as possible for customers to work with you. It’s a choice. And when you add more employees, some of which are inevitably programmed to protect their relevance at all cost, ease plummets. It’s sad. And it’s why incumbents die.
