This #AutismAwarenessMonth, I’m thinking of the thousands of autistic people in the UK facing disability benefits cuts due to PIP changes. As National Autistic Society says, with 3 in 10 autistic people in work, the government should focus on improving job accessibility - not cut vital support.

Absolutely right National Autistic Society. I do love the fact that everyone thinks they just 'hand out' diagnoses these days. Like you walk in and they give just them out. The misinformed media are just exacerbating this & supporting those wanting to score political brownie points.

PIP is more than money - it’s access, independence, dignity. Without it, disabled people face deeper poverty and exclusion. We an our allies are calling on the UK Government to protect disability benefits & reconsider these heartless cuts. 📎 Read more: disabilitywales.org/press-release-…
