Shout out to Dr Renske Visser who co-hosts one of my favourite podcasts, The Death Studies Podcast, and is now following me!๐ The last episode with M. Alvarez made me look at my own experience with curiosity, and I usually go back to the interview with Foluke Taylor, I love it, it's tidal!
In this episode, hear M. F. (Mike) Alvarez on suicide, mental health and illness, autoethnography, fine art, reflexive writing, creative writing, interdisciplinarity and biases in the academy

Just caught up with this episode with Professor Lucy Easthope & โฅ๏ธ it. Two key takeaways. 1: try to not hook too much into hope that things are going to get better, life is full of glory and conflicts, and it is about what we can learn & apply.
And 2: books offer comfort. Amen to that ๐ฏ
So spoiled by the gorgeous & wonderful Prof Gayle Letherby for my birthday celebration with her! Thank you Gayle! You bring so much joy and wisdom to my life ๐๐๐๐๐๐
What the articles donโt say is how, as children, weโd all sneak into her bed every morning for cuddles, or how sheโd always cut the crusts off our toast and have endless boxes of biscuits at the ready. A wise, beautiful, remarkable woman. Sleep well, Nan bbc.com/news/articles/โฆ
