Thanksgiving break was just what my mama heart needed. ❤️

Our One Heart Pantry was looking a little bare. Held a food drive this week, and the families of #Sweenyleaders helped fill this pantry up! One step closer to helping out families in need in Republic Schools

Governor Parson is proposing to raise the minimum starting teacher salary to $38,000. Right now the minimum starting teacher salary in Missouri is $25,000, ranked 50th in the U.S. Half of new teachers leave the profession by their fifth year according to the Governor.

Whether it was snow days, AMI days, sick days, home with Bear for cvid/quarantine, and a 1/2 personal day, after tomorrow I will have only taught in person in my classroom 8.5 days this month. What a wild and abnormal month. I miss my students, teaching, & normalcy.

This is heartbreaking. You never know what someone is going through…. 💔

Soaking up my last few months teaching 4th grade. After that, I'll be staying home full time with our sweet little man who is growing too quickly! There will always be more 4th graders to 💙 and teach, but Bear will only be little once. Thankful to get to stay home with him!

Prepared and practiced for a live performance of a reader's theater play. They had scene changes, came up with their own props and set too! The kiddos turned our room into "The Benton Theater" and shared their play in front of an audience today. #sweenyleaders

Last day of school. Taking a pause on teaching to stay home with our sweet son. Going to miss being in the classroom, but I have no regrets for staying home with Bear! Thank you Republic Schools for a tremendous experience. Proud to be a #sweenyleader

Her name was Eva Mireles. She taught fourth grade at Robb Elementary School. She worked for the Uvalde school district for 17 years.

My tia did not make it, she sacrificed herself protecting the kids in her classroom, i beg of you to keep my family including all of her family in y’all’s prayers , IRMA GARCIA IS HER NAME and she died a HERO. she was loved by many and will truly be missed.
