This! I Recently took my mom to an appt at the ENT. She has a hearing loss and wears hearing aids. The nurse proceeded to try to take her medical history with her back turned to my mom the entire time. This from a staff who is supposed to help folks with hearing loss. 😠

First in the talking points that we were given to discuss with students concerned about the Nashville shooting today, "Emphasize that schools are very safe." Death by firearm is the leading cause of death for children in America. We don't feel safe.

When presenting at conferences or in professional learning/development spaces, using a “teacher voice” (and not a microphone) does not change the hearing ability of your attendees.

A heated debate broke out in my class today. "If you have money, you don't need credit!" "Nah, if you have credit, you don't need money!" Aaaaannnd..... this is why I teach personal finance. 🤪
