First summer just focusing on training and thanks to Coach Vogt PRP Baseball it ended up being one of the better decisions I have made in my career.Arm health, velo, mechanics, pitch arsenal, mobility, power, and strength all improved a lot in just 3 months of in house training.

The best thing a pitcher can do is take notes after every outing to batters. It’s a time investment but a great one for your career. Below is part of what I do. I go more into depth with videos and velos and pitch design but a great way to see your weaknesses so you can fix them.

Slowly becoming one of my favorite lower body lifts that Coach Vogt has me doing in my programming. Lighter weight Heavy Banded SSB Split Squats. Control the downward motion and explode as quick as you can up. Great exercise to help pitchers become stronger and generate more power.

Thanking your catcher after a bullpen is one of the most overlooked things in baseball. They’re there early, squat through every pitch, wear the misses, and stay locked in so you can get better. No praise. No credit. Just work. A simple “thank you” goes a long way.

2.5 Weeks Till Opening Week Trusting the process each and everyday as I tighten last minute things up as season is quickly approaching. Goal for next weeks live. Work on raising total first pitch strike and total strikes to 65% or higher. Have Zero Walks.

Overall not a bad live outing. Definitely would like to eliminate the 3 walks I had but 13/16 on properly thrown at bats is not a bad day. Strike % was not where it should be but eliminate the three poorly thrown at bats and it’s where I need it to be at 62% or higher.
