Every single day of the pandemic is a new and shocking reminder how little the powerful care for the vast majority of people and how much bad faith, for-profit motives absolutely dominate this society.

I’ve learned a lot from this pandemic, but the most eye-opening part has been the realization that there are a massive amount of really terrible people that live in this country.

It's always bizarre to hear terms like "housing crisis" when there is no shortage of housing. It would be like if you heard there was a "water crisis" but found out the "crisis" was global finance buying up all the water and deciding they can make more if only rich people drink.

When people talk about why the pandemic spread so rapidly, no one seems to mention that America is the only advanced country with no guaranteed paid sick days. How many of the 35 million cases were the result of people having to work while sick to avoid poverty?

Gov Cuomo resigned because his party wasn't tolerating his conduct. Biden and national Dems called on him to resign. NY State Dems were about to impeach him. The reason Republicans don’t resign for similar or worse allegations is because their party tolerates it. Simple as that.
