Gotta say, making a distinction between 10,000 person indoor occupancy and 15,000 person indoor occupancy in Ontario based on whether patrons are sitting or standing implies no understanding whatsoever of what aerosol is or how it works. If you don't laugh you cry.

Why is it that when experts try to warn the government of an impending disaster, no one listens until it becomes a catastrophe'? Then, they react with band aid solutions. Rapid tests should be made available to ALL children for asymptomatic covid screening. Stephen Lecce Doug Ford

Speaking to a colleague in Alberta ICU

..no vent for you. This in Canada because of antivaxers. Unbelievable.

Went to a non-essential event last night. Super easy. Showed my double shot status - no problem. Wouldn't have attended if non-vaxxed people were allowed. Long overdue rules to keep people safe.

Erin O’Toole was claiming housing expenses while living rent free in a taxpayer paid 34-room mansion with a chef, chauffeur & household manager. But still claimed $2,300/month for a 2nd residence. Where’s the relentless media outrage over that? #CPC, as usual, covered for it.

Just to say the quiet part out loud here, the reason nothing changes with Canadian ipac protocols despite hundreds of deaths from hospital acquired covid is twofold: budget impact and ipac professionals having to admit they were wrong. That’s it

Imagine a government that in every decision first considers how that decision will support people’s well being. Imagine a government that asks first “how can we get this done?” not “how much will it cost?” A government that seeks advice from your wisdom of lived experience?

A colleague said today that their empathy bank was running low. I feel that, too. Looking forward to recharging over the long weekend.

If walking costs you $1, we all pay $0.01. If biking costs you $1, we all pay $0.08. If bussing costs you $1, we all pay $1.50. If driving costs you $1, we all pay $9.20. Via The Discourse study. This isn’t just about choice. It’s about who pays for your choice. #citymakingmath

Imagine experiencing a whole global pandemic that disproportionately impacted people based on structural determinants of health then writing an article about “woke doctors” who care too much about “the social aspect”? Shout out to doctors who prioritize Social Justice.

I should know by now, but it still surprises me how tired I am when I book mental time to take a break. The leaves aren't going to get raked today.
