IBELIN- dir. Benjamin Ree, a moving portrait of Mats Steen through the eyes of the people who knew him best his family & his World of Warcraft Guild. A surprisingly rich interrogation of digital spaces and the complexity that surround them. #Sundance2024 #Sundance

LAYLA- dir. Amrou AL-Khadi, narrative feature w/ incredible performance by Bilal Hasna as Layla. The film stays very close to a somewhat unlikely relationship that helps excavate the complexity, nuance and imbalance w/in queer relationships & communities. #Sundance2024 #sundance

POWER dir. Yance Ford, a deeply unsettling & broad overview of the entrenchment, leaching & abuse of power in US institutions. Asks the devastating question of where does hate & pain go when state violence is enacted against the majority for the benefit of the few. #sundance2024

One of the most beautiful films I've seen on the big screen in recent memory

One of the best films out of Sundance this year, deeply nuanced, thought provoking and original work.

Really enjoyed Lana's new film Look Into My Eyes, she brings the same emotion, compassion and curiosity that marks her other works about a subject that is too easily derided.
