After 2 covid cancellations, the Sinfonia Cymru Lucienne Renaudin Vary tour finally arrived. And, wow, it was so worth the wait. Amazing playing and incredible musicality from Lucienne and, as always, committed, joyful playing from the Sinfonia Cymru musicians. Diolch.

A couple of days of digital art experiences in London. Hockney’s ‘Bigger and Closer’ at Lightroom then Van Gogh - the Immersive Experience in Shoreditch. Hockney edges it for me - his voiceover, with glorious Yorkshire twang, and a great Nico Muhly Score add something special.

Sad to hear that Nicola Heywood Thomas has died. She was one of the great advocates for the arts in Wales. Our paths crossed during my time @WNOtweet and Sinfonia Cymru. I didn't particularly enjoy interviews but her lovely manner always put me at ease. A huge loss for the arts.
