Your XCOPY x Moonbirds collaboration has arrived. Thread Incoming.

Today, we’re thrilled to launch Moonbirds Backgrounds, a new way to customize your Moonbird (with a very special XCOPY 🏴 collaboration) and share your passion for this community–and others. Now that Moonbirds are fully in-chain, it’s time to play! So let’s talk about it 🧵

Starting today, in-chain Moonbirds can access two new custom Backgrounds - “X” an official background designed by XCOPY for holders of his “Max Pain” collection, and “Starlight”, a background for every Nested bird during today’s launch.

At PROOF, we believe in elevating other artists and projects. We know our community is more than just their Moonbird – and we celebrate that! While we initially launched with the PROOF Collective background a few weeks ago, we’ve got much more in store.

To celebrate and kickstart the future of our curated Moonbirds Backgrounds, we’ve partnered with XCOPY on an exclusive Background for holders of his “Max Pain” collection, designed by XCOPY. This is “X”.

To be eligible for this XCOPY background, the smart contract verifies that you hold an XCOPY Max Pain in the same wallet as your Moonbird. If you sell or move the Max Pain, the background automatically disappears.

But of course, we want everyone to be able to take part in this celebration. Don’t have a “Max Pain”? You can still participate in what we’re building! Introducing “Starlight” - a custom background for all nested Moonbirds that signals you’ve joined us in-chain.

All backgrounds are stored fully in-chain and are dynamically built and rendered from the contract once you enable them.

To activate, log into your Collector Profile on proof.xyz and select one of your Moonbirds. From there, you can see the Backgrounds you qualify for. If you haven’t created an account yet, see more here: x.com/JustinMezzell/…
