Delighted and proud to get a copy of my wonderful former Phd student Dr Allison Bumsted's first book, Don't Let the Name Fool You: Teenset, Teen Magazines, and Rock Journalism, published in ppb by Mississippi University Press. It's a great piece of scholarship, and a beautiful book.

Today I left academia. Closures and budgets, it was time for me to leave. I loved being a professor and I always will, but it was not a stable. I look forward to still collaborating and taking part in academia and publishing. I will miss being an educator with all my heart.
