Selfishly, I have literally thousands of @dcist stories that I may never again have access to. While I can personally suck it up, it's unfair to the public for WAMU 88.5 to essentially kill off years worth of stories by so many other reporters. It's digital arson.

Recall that the last time @dcist was shut down, back in 2017, its billionaire owner briefly nuked the site's archives. But even then he relented and put them back up. WAMU 88.5 really doesn't want to be worse than an angry billionaire, does it?
