MDTA now estimates a new Key Bridge will be $4.3-$5.2 billion in cost. It's also estimated to open to traffic in late 2030. It initially was set to only cost between $1.7-$1.9 billion, and finish Fall 2028. In a statement, Governor Wes Moore says it's due to elevated costs.
