This is stark from UNICEF UK. The United Kingdom has seen the biggest rise in child poverty rates of all OECD/ EU countries. Radical action is needed now to tackle child poverty head on. The good news in these findings is that child poverty can be tackled. The bad news is that in the UK politicians are sitting on their hands. They must act. Every party must commit to scrapping the two-child limit and benefit cap, to restoring investment in child benefit... 1/2

Official Government data shows quite how dire the teacher training recruitment situation is in England right now, with only half the required secondary trainees recruited and 15 out of 18 subjects failing to meet their targets
