#NYPD endorsed a racist, anti-immigrant sexual assaulter. You are on the wrong side of history if you think it’s the “strong voices” of racist, misogynistic white men that aren’t being heard.

Hey school leader, please stop telling us that the benefits of your classrooms outweigh the risks of #COVID19 infection, which come with potential lifelong health issues and death. We trust our homes more than your precautions.

Zoom tip. If you are "Zooming" from your classroom and have a projector, use it as an extended desktop. Put the kids/zoom in grid view on the projector and your screen share/slides on your laptop. Works really well and allows you to "see" the kids while teaching from your slides.

School districts may think they are just making small changes or adjustments, but consider their overall impact as they flow down to admin, teachers, and even parents. A snowball at the top of the hill can be destructive by the time it rolls downhill!

Districts, if your teachers are 100% online and you aren't giving them a day without online classes so they can plan, grade, catch up, get support, have meetings, and help students who may need it, then please think about how that would actually help teachers be MORE effective.

I'm not violating any pledge of journalistic confidentially in reporting this: 21 Republican Sens–in convos w/ colleagues, staff members, lobbyists, W. House aides–have repeatedly expressed extreme contempt for Trump & his fitness to be POTUS. (1/3)

If students aren't in school, then teachers should be able to teach from home. 42% of people work from home, yet teachers are expected to go to an empty school to teach? School districts, trust your professionals!

To anyone complaining about a private media company kicking Trump off their platform: Think of Twitter as a Christian bakery and Trump as a gay wedding cake. #BanTrumpFromTwitter

This was sedition. This was an insurrection. But these acts of domestic terrorism, incited by Donald and 147 elected republicans, were fueled by white supremacy enabled by the corrosive toxicity of white privilege. It's in our bones and we fail to grapple with that at our peril.

Joe Biden when asked about ending standardized testing you said YES. And said they were preaching to the choir. However, states like GA have already been denied waivers asking not to test this year. Unacceptable. U.S. Department of Education

Teachers are 6 times more engaged and effective when they feel like they are valued, supported, appreciated and their talents are used. Sadly Gallup also reports that 7 out of 10 teachers are not emotionally connected or they’re dissatisfied at work. Districts have to do better.

As of today, 2/3 of the teaching staff at my school, including myself, have resigned. We are all leaving for teaching jobs and staying in the profession, just not at that site. What would you do if you were the administrator?
