Did you know? Rats can push or pull around twice their body weight, and have been known to open refrigerator doors! Don’t underestimate rats’ strength and ability when doing exclusion w

My favorite city rat sub-species: Rattus recklessaudacious. "Like, just goooo ahead & dig your burrow right here in the street curb for the whole world to see 🫤 . It's cool. We'll just sweep up.. chicken bones & all while waiting for the light to change!" 🐀🐀🐀🧹

Birds @ backyard feeders appear from “nowhere”- right?! Exactly same w/rats frm “nowhere” detecting odors of greasy smelly garbage cans/dumpsters (full OR empty). THOROUGH weekly cleaning/disinfect cans/lids inside & out = SECRET TO NO RAT STARTUPS. (note RAT! left) 💩🗑️🐀🐀

Super cool new research showing rats, like us, also bop their heads to certain music ; from classical to R&R. 😀 Part II: Scientists should include testing that I hypothesize will prove a strong preference for intense Tango Dance sequences. 💃🕺 newscientist.com/video/2347462-…

(1) Today: A 1-person’s pigeon joy results in fast growth/local neighborhood spread of a costly / unhealthy rat colony to nearby private properties, eateries, schools, etc. I counted 19 large burrows( breeder adults) along 65ft stretch + many more around .😬🐀🐀🐀🐀

Some peeps welcome their cats to hang close w/them writing, computer work, etc. A while back, I collected/fed/reared 5 wild barn-rat pups. Only 1 agreed to friendship; touch, hold, play with, spell-check work, etc. But in general never try/make WILD rats pets or friends. 🐀🐀
