Happy Earth Day! Environmental Stewardship is one of EUSD's core pillars. Thank you to our Green Team members & partners BCK Programs, LLC who brought fun activities & learning to schools all week & beyond. Thanks to our students for teaching our community how to help the planet.

Bravo!! Zayetzy has managed a composting team of devoted 5th and 6th grader all year at @PanthersPW Elementary School. They divert approx. 15lbs of food from the landfill daily using one large-scale worm bin and three soil savers. We are so proud of her! #zerowasteschools β€οΈππͺπ»
Started the morning EUSD Farm Lab listening to 16-year-old entrepreneur, Gitanjali Rao, inspire hundreds to embrace change and ended the day with our interns preparing Encinitas Union SD to kick-off a change to their waste diversion program: +organics recycling. I love today's theme!
El Camino Creek 3rd graders putting in the work with this take-home assignment to see how many sustainable holiday tips they can convince family and friends to take on. Inspired by Republic Services this is just the start of EUSD's ecoliteracy BMPsβ€οΈ Encinitas Union SD
A big shout out to the Port of San Diego for supporting ecoliteracy in National City. BCK's Water Watch program is making a big difference all around San Diego County.
Our student interns are out in the world moving and shaking (and conserving and protecting and reducing...). We couldn't set them up for success without the support of this awesome City. The cityofcarlsbad is a great place to live and work. Thanks for the shoutout!!
