Bravo!! Zayetzy has managed a composting team of devoted 5th and 6th grader all year at @PanthersPW Elementary School. They divert approx. 15lbs of food from the landfill daily using one large-scale worm bin and three soil savers. We are so proud of her! #zerowasteschools ❤️🌎💪🏻

Started the morning EUSD Farm Lab listening to 16-year-old entrepreneur, Gitanjali Rao, inspire hundreds to embrace change and ended the day with our interns preparing Encinitas Union SD to kick-off a change to their waste diversion program: +organics recycling. I love today's theme!

A big shout out to the Port of San Diego for supporting ecoliteracy in National City. BCK's Water Watch program is making a big difference all around San Diego County.

The intersection of district-wide ecoliteracy and authentic learning is our sweet spot! 🌎🌎❤️❤️

Students who understand the harmful impacts of pollutants on our waterways are our greatest asset in promoting more sustainable actions. Not only will they modify their own behaviors now and in the future, but they will encourage their parents to do the same. ❤️🌎

Our student interns are out in the world moving and shaking (and conserving and protecting and reducing...). We couldn't set them up for success without the support of this awesome City. The cityofcarlsbad is a great place to live and work. Thanks for the shoutout!!
