A very long but fantastic first day with our group of 4, as we looked at the holding lines of the retreat,& the start of the #Dunkirk corridor beginning to collapse at #StVenant. Then the emotional story of #Wormhoudt Massacre. Time to rest before a very busy day tomorrow! #WW2

A packed but fantastic day 2 with our group of 4 friends. Today we finished the #Dunkirk story with stops amongst others on the canal, the 12th Division memorial, the batteries & of course the final word at the mole. A late low tide set the scene for a visit to the Crested Eagle.

109 years ago today tens of thousands of men poured from these tunnels as the battle of #Arras began. Nearly 7000 men would be dead by the end of the day. However as the weeks went on there were huge successes in gains & tactics still used today. Today we remember their sacrifice

Today our thoughts are with all our followers from #Australia & #NewZealand as they celebrate #AnzacDay. We remember all that both nations have done and sacrificed.
