A lovely clear, sunny morning in Nelson and Simon whittam is making up for lost time at Beech Street. The roof is on plots 3 and 4 and you can see the sun tunnel - what a difference this makes to the landing. Who knew how exciting seeing a key in a front door lock would be?!!
Anyone have access to the detail of the Affordable Homes programme mentioned by Rishi Sunak in yesterday's #Budget2020 ? We're being optimistic that #communityhousingfund may now be part of that!
We may be stuck at home, but Simon whittam are still on site at Beech St, Nelson, and have finished the WRC timber weatherboarding and buttermilk render on plots 3 & 4. No internal work can be done & materials are hard to find but doesn't the external work look spectacular?😍
Looking absolutely fab! Thank you Simon whittam and all your subbies. Great that you've managed to keep going in spite of the difficulties. There will be 4 very lucky buyers from Bradley and Hodge House soon🥰
#LancsCOVIDFund. Thank you to Community Foundation for Lancashire National Emergencies Trust and Lancashire Resilience Forum for a grant of £5k for our Bradley Food 2 Go project. This allows us to carry on providing a takeaway meal every Friday to vulnerable residents & key workers in Bradley & Hodge House, Nelson.
258 meals delivered so far in the Bradley and Hodge House areas of Nelson. We've got room for more on our list! Email if you/someone you know is struggling and needs a weekly takeaway meal. Key workers living/working locally can also benefit: [email protected].
Almost there! We've received keys to our new discount market value houses (3 reserved already) but still got utility connections and landscaping to finish off. Covid-19 slowed us down but, thanks to Simon whittam and our own efforts, we didn't stop.
We were very proud yesterday to show the MP Rt Hon Andrew Stephenson CBE , round our new affordable homes at Beech St, Nelson. No open day for us right now, but our supporters are being invited for individual tours. The design and quality is so impressive (thank you Simon whittam ).
Bradley Big Local CLT (Bradley Big Local) contacted its MP Rt Hon Andrew Stephenson CBE asking him to write to the Chancellor about the value for money of investing in #communityledhousing through a renewed CHF. Send a letter to your MP today! All info + templates here> communitylandtrusts.org.uk/what-we-do/our…
