If your goal is overall "fitness" then the majority of your training should be endurance/cardio and the minority strength/weights. Most people, especially men, get this reversed because strength training is easier. Avoid points of diminishing return in the gym.

I was in the middle of a swim this morning when I saw a woman fall on the pool deck. Jumped out to help her up, and when I got back in, my cold shoulder subluxed, forcing me to end the session. I was reminded of an important lesson: Never help anyone in the middle of a workout.
