Newly set up “Food Pantry” in Batheaston starts today at Rhymes from 11 till 3 pm. Immi Corry from Mercy in Action has started this activity off to reach out to families who need help in these strange times. Folk can just turn up and someone will be there to assist. Immi Corry

Great to see the walls starting to go up on our New Village Hall. We have now raised £680,000 with a wonderful £50,000 in donations from our Community .. and a big thanks also to @AllchurchesT Garfield Weston Foundation Enovert Community Trust

We've had some wet weather and short working days to contend with but progress still being made. Roof structure will be in place soon and we should see Batheaston's New Community Hall, really begin to take shape.

The curved canopy over the entrance is now finished and looking a work of art. Will be so inviting when open.

Name stones framing the entrance, are now in place to recognise the generous legacy left by Patsy Townsend, to enable a new Community Hall to be built for Batheaston. Details of Patsy's legacy are on our website. batheastonhall.org/history/

Doors now fitted. The 3 at the end are fitted in the main hall and the 2 this end are for the smaller activity room. These will lead out onto a terrace with steps down to a large grass field. Inside, the floors are going down and the walls are being skimmed. Great progress.

Big thankyou from all at Batheaston New Village Hall. Certainly made all the difference and took our fundraising past the £300k mark. All activity now inside the hall with plastering underway right now.

Sorry twitter but it's been a long while since any updates!! However, our new hall is now built and proving to be a fantastic asset to the Batheaston Community. A truly wonderful building. Huge thanks to all who helped us on our way.
