I really like Bastion, but one thing I struggled with the most was where to start and how to start building one. Here's a fibonacci example to get you started with Bastion, and keep you waiting until part two of the blog.bastion.rs post is out! github.com/bastion-rs/bas…

A super-duper testing framework that Luca(Luca Palmieri) pulled out in a month or so (I don't recall when he said that he will do and wrote) lpalmieri.com/posts/2020-04-… p.s. yes, he is using Bastion !

Also other good news! We’re going to remove concurrent hash map impl in Bastion and soon we will backing up actors with transact. mem. impl. Actor states are going be awesome! Wait for the 0.4.0! Rite of Passage for Bastion is here: github.com/bastion-rs/bas…

Bastion (Bastion) cluster is on the run! Check out the code in showcase repo: github.com/bastion-rs/sho… Go form some clusters right now! It will be in our next release. For the impatient, use our git repo!

Super thrilled about what's coming into our next release, we are working super hard to provide more feature _and_ make the API simpler to use. If you have any comment or feedback, now is the time!

Luca Palmieri Rust Language Thanks for the kind words Luca! much appreciated <3. I also want to thank you to team and friends like you who enabled and gave feedback on every aspect of our development phases. Huge kudos to Bastion team that has worked hard on every bit of the Bastion ecosystem so far.

Just added a good first issue for the Bastion documentation github.com/bastion-rs/bas…, I'd be more than happy to help anyone set it up, and walk you through how it works. Expect more `good first issues` coming soon, I'm trying to refine the issues a bit :)

What about you? Did you have specific struggles when giving Bastion a try? What were they? What is the thing you think is lacking the most for you to use it? Please let me know, I might be able to work on it!

Hey everyone! We have just landed an alpha version of the "tokio-runtime" feature in Bastion ! We're looking for people who would like to give it a try, file issues and give us feedback!

Tomorrow at 2pm Europe/Paris I’ll stream a bit of rust! I’ll probably build a basic http server using warp, and do a bit of open source on Bastion to see how the tokio-runtime feature behaves! twitch.tv/o0Ignition0o

📢New post: An experiment on streaming architecture using Bastion and Kafka. In this blog post, I explain an example use case that has achieved a near consumer-native correlation rate in out-of-order data. vertexclique.com/streaming-with…

And it's a wrap! We've done quite a lot, to hopefully make it easier for newcomers to setup their first Bastion ! A new distributor API will allow us to register new targets and send messages to them! We can even subscribe and unsubscribe child_refs on the fly!
