Chris is safely in bed, and sleeping soundly, and Eddie is curled up in his own bed, waiting for Buck.

Eddie immediately smiles as he feels the covers moving back, and pulls his eyes open, reaching his arms out for Buck.

“Mm, hi.” Eddie grinned softly. “We worked together all day and I still feel like I got to spend no time with you.”

“Mm, yes. All day tomorrow.” Eddie grinned. “Chris even has a sleepover after school tomorrow. So it’s just… you and me.”

Eddie hummed from the kiss, smiling as he leaned up to kiss Buck gently. “What do you want to do tomorrow?”

“Oh yeah? Just stay in bed all day?” Eddie grinned, stroking his fingers through Buck’s hair. “I can think of many ways to pass the time…”

Eddie Diaz invented squishy cheeks

Eddie grinned wider as he nipped at Buck’s bottom lip, then just deepened the kiss. “Maybe something like this…” He murmured against Buck’s lips.

Eddie happily rolled over onto his back as Buck rolled onto him. He trailed his hand down Buck’s back, grasping the hem of his shirt. “I think you’re wearing too many clothes—“

Eddie bit his lip as he looked up at Buck, eyes darkening as he watched him pull his shirt off. He quickly pulled his own shirt off, setting his hands on Buck’s waist. “Could get used to this view.” He grinned.

Eddie chuckled softly from Buck’s comment. “Looking forward to it.” Was his only murmured response. He kissed Buck tenderly, once more stroking his fingers through Buck’s hair, trying to pull him even closer.

buck going from thinking eddie was inserting himself into his family and replacing him to knowing that eddie is his family and will always have his back. drives me a little insane tbh
