I have joined Helen Bamber Foundation 🧡's call to GOV.UK to take urgent action to protect modern slavery survivors during the #covid19 pandemic. Many are struggling to access services and support and risk falling back into the hands of those who exploited them. We must not let this happen.

Listening to R4... Utterly taken aback by the arrogance and complacency of Matt Hamcock who does not accept that there is any confusion in the country regarding COVID advice.

Important point raised by Christian Guy. As we worry about returning to safe work conditions under COVID - 19 maybe we should reject any product produced this way. Not good enough here? Then it's not good enough there.

In case you missed it - last week we launched a new website for the Contextual Safeguarding Programme along with an updated briefing by me and @jennyalloyd on the CS Framework and lessons from testing to date. You can access it all here contextualsafeguarding.org.uk

Having spent a career at the sharp end of Child Safeguarding I find it utterly appalling that this is being used to defend and justify the decisions of Dominic Cummings. It demeans the terrible reality of child abuse and neglect and those that work so hard to protect them.

Travelling to Durham (at the time an area of low level of infection) from London (the highest level of infection), presumably fails to meet the EXACT aim of the lock-down; protecting the NHS and saving lives, especially when your family have to go into hospital, albeit briefly.

Well done Avant I Trains... Train now leaving 12 mins late because somehow the train became over crowded. Probably need to review how you manage capacity.... Especially on match days. Just a thought!
