Lovely to welcome Dr Angel Smith from the British Virgin Islands back to the Wilberforce Institute. A triple alumnus of University of Hull, he came to see our Homelands Exhibition, co-produced with Hull Museums and HullAfro@Caribbean (Official), as a strategy for engaging people with photographic heritage.

Growing up in Canada, I dreamed of making it up to the Wilberforce Institute in the UK to learn from some of the world's foremost scholars on human trafficking. It was an immense joy to be there, and to even be one of the conference presenters. Thank you Dr Alicia Heys for organising!
