There is one walk today in our programme of Free Special Walks, the topic is “The Admiralty in Bath”, which visits the places associated with the Admiralty from 1939 to 2013. The walk starts at 14.00 from the West Doors of the Abbey.

The 18th Century was a period of rapid development for Bath. Between 1700 and 1800, the population of Bath grew from 2000 to 30,000. No wonder the city developed from a medieval walled city to a Georgian classical city.
