KC kids are learning and writing about animals thanks to the excellent ⁦⁦Cincinnati Zoo⁩ Home Safari!

Some of our KC friends listened to Mrs. Curley read a book this afternoon. Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle make a great children’s book writing/illustrating team!

All the pets met each other during our Google Meet this morning!! I believe there were 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 rainbow unicorn and 1 bear. They had nice manners and listened when everyone talked. It was a nice surprise to see them!

In today’s KC meetings Miss Moy led us in singing Cobbler Cobbler and Mr G. read the book Mud by Mary Lyn Ray.

I had so much fun delivering plant kits to our kindergarteners this morning. It felt amazing to see their faces!

We are getting ready to create a habitat for a small animal! These are some ideas of the types of animals we might find to put in our enclosure. We also made a list of needs for our animal. We can’t wait to start!!!

KC is investigating pill bugs! To get ready to host our tiny isopods, we built a habitat. Some things pill bugs, or roly poly bugs need to help them survive are dirt, tree bark, rotting leaves and moss. Now all we need are the roly poly bugs!
