Thrilled to share our study on growth dynamics of #alpine plants under #ClimateChange in Nature Communications. We show that advanced snowmelt leads to early start but also early senescence in the most frequent grassland in the #Alps. The term 'growing season' is widely used in ecological research, but lacks a well-defined concept. Here our attempt to identify the different facets of what people may call a growing season Ecology Letters: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/el…

How does one of the most common alpine grasslands in Europe respond to changing snowmelt and recurrent summer drought? Find out with our 7-year study just published in Journal of Ecology : besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/13… (1/n)

First chapter of my PhD at University of Basel Agroscope out now in New Phytologist! 😊🎊 doi.org/10.1111/nph.19… We show that post-drought compensatory growth in perennial #grasslands is driven by #soil and not plant #drought-legacy effects.

After publishing my PhD chapter (DOI: doi.org/10.1111/jbi.14…), the R package I developed is now available on CRAN: CRAN.R-project.org/package=ElevDi…. It computes the vertical distance to local climatic treelines and is robust against spatial uncertainties. #RStats
