A local hospital have had to announce extraordinary measures because of #COVID. The effect of this virus isn't just on the patients but as staff invariably get infected or have to self isolate because of household contacts, this may happen more. We all have to play our part.

Here I am working in the NHS. I came to this country as a child refugee. I have only ever had a British passport & only ever considered myself a British citizen. The #NationalityandBordersBill means that my citizenship could be revoked without right of appeal. Thanks for that

With strikes on the horizon, here's a bit of context on what's been happening to average nurse pay in England. Since 2010, nurses' pay (the purple line) has lagged behind inflation, and behind average pay growth in both the public and private sectors.
